This flower is about 1/2 inch in diameter, a tiny thing. I don’t know her name and I don’t care if I do or not. I care for her because I adore her spirit and vitality. I had her since spring and she is still booming and shining in the rain.
I have had enough fall colors, yellow, orange, and different shades of red. But my little thing was bright pink and still is. On a rainy day like today, I noticed her color looks a bit pale in coated rainwater. She looks soft and sophisticated in that faded look. I am inspired to play with a little bit of texturing and painting. It is my kind of fall colors, faded, seasoned, rained on, and yet the internal luster carries on.
