Hellebores (Lantern Rose) bloom in February. They grow their stems upright but flowers face down. When I finally noticed the blooms, they have been weathered by perpetual rain and morning chill. I turned her face upwards and braced it with other stems. Who would come to cherish her if such beauty is not being revealed?
Sun is reluctant to shine. If not for that bleak background, I would not spend the time to cover it up with some texture.
