Sun is down and city lights are up, I was strolling down the streets… A glance at the scene. I thought about a Chinese phrase, 華燈初上, the lanterns are just lit after dark.
I passed it and turned back; walked away and decided to come back. The lanterns continue to draw my eyes and I was attracted to the ambiance inside, peaceful and romantic. This is the place I want to be the end of the day.
What I saw is a picture that I want to snap. I don’t care what’s inside. But, better yet if they serve mint mosaic tea and sushi…
Just play it along. I think the black and white version looks as inviting to me as the colored, pure and poetic.
Street photography is a temptation to me. One of these days, I will ‘go into town’ instead of going into the wild.
